On 11 May 2019 the group exhibition “In guter Gesellschaft” (“In Good Company”) was opened at the Neuer Kunstverein Aschaffenburg. The exhibition (open until 7 July) presents the work of Heiner Thiel in connection with the Carl-Jürgen Schroth Collection. In this collection, now renamed Stiftung für Konzeptuelle Kunst (Foundation for Conceptual Art), Heiner Thiel occupies a central and prototypical place. No artist is represented more strongly in the collection. Equally, no collector possesses more works by Heiner Thiel than the Stiftung für Konzeptuelle Kunst. Heiner Thiel has curated the exhibition himself, introducing further artistic standpoints from the Stiftung and relating them to his own work. In this exhibition he has included the works März 1997 IV and 5-12-3 as well as 10-3-P, a work on paper. The photograph below, 19-06-001, shows from left to right: Carl-Jürgen Schroth, Klaus Herzog, mayor of Aschaffenburg, Elisabeth Claus, chair of the Neuer Kunstverein Aschaffenburg, and Heiner Thiel
